Schneider Electrical expands the solar charge controller Conext MPPT 100 – Solar Builder by 25 % extra electrical energy
Schneider Electric Solar launched an improved solar charge controller this week for solar + storage customers in private households. The solar charge controller Conext MPPT 100 600 offers 25% more charging power than the charge controller MPPT 80 600.
With the MPPT 100, homeowners can optimize battery charging using solar energy and maximize energy stability to provide backup for the whole house. It is also better suited for extended power outages. Even if the battery inverter shuts down at night due to a fully discharged battery, the MPPT charge controller allows the system to recover when the PV returns.
The MPPT 100 enables solar power systems with 7 kilowatts (kW) and is ideal for on-grid and off-grid systems in residential areas, but can be scaled for larger installations. For installers, the 600 V MPPT 100 offers faster installations and a lower balance of system costs. With 2 PV strings per charge controller, the MPPT 100 600 offers 50% less wiring than low-voltage charge controllers.
In addition to the Schneider Electric MPPT 60 and MPPT 80, the MPPT 100 is also compatible with the MPPT Disconnect RS accessories to ensure fast shutdown compliance, fire protection, and arc fault detection. Schneider Electric MPPT solar charge controllers are part of the ecosystem of solutions for solar and storage integration, such as: B. XW and SW storage inverters, power distribution and energy management.
Customers can also use Schneider Electric’s Insight, their digital energy management platform for Solar + storage systems. With advanced cybersecurity, homeowners can easily monitor, operate, and upgrade their solar and storage installation. For installers, powerful features such as remote settings management and firmware updates make it easy to maintain the sites while minimizing the number of truck rolls. Insight also provides installers with a suite of portfolio monitoring and management tools that enable them to track a large number of installation locations.
